unexplored bonds between religions
During the the course of our project, we noticed that there are many considerable similarities
between religions that are against each other today. Here are some of those similarities, which may
convince you that their fights are baseless. After all, all religions preach peace and there is no religion that advocates war.
Between Christianity and Islam
1. Mary (C) - Maryam (I)
2. Jesus (C)- Ishu (I) -Ishwar (H)
3. Abraham (C) - Ibrahim (I)
4. Noah's arc (C) - Nuh's arc (I)
5.John (C) -John (I)
6.Mathew (C) -Mathias (I)
7.Moses (C) -Moses (J)- Musa (I)
8 Adam (C) - Aadem (I)
9. Eve (C) - Evah (I)
10. David(C) - Dawood (I)
11. Joseph(C)- Yusuf (I)
note- C- Christianity, I- Islam, H- Hinduism, J- Judaism.
-(source-wikipedia.We searched for the names and found similar names with similar stories.)
You might be pondering over how in the world there are such similarities but still people fight. It is
because Islam, Christianity and Judaism were the offsprings of the same theological mother and they were all the same once upon a
time (they are Semitic-Follow Abraham's thinkings). But, the curmudgeons started arguing on baseless things like names of gods etc.
Everyone had their own versions. And there were three prophets with followers who kept on disputing.
These three are:
1.Jesus
2.Muhammad
3.Moses
The followers of each one of them maintained that their prophet is the last and the authoritative
prophet. As time passed by, the followers adopted different customs that made them different and
distinct. Over time, this caused tensions and frictions and at times even war. All we want to conclude
is that all religions say the same thing, that there is only one God. We believe there is just one God but
humans have their own forms and versions.
